Backpacks & Breakthroughs: A Back-to-School Resource Fair & Supplies Giveaway

Saturday, August 16th
12 PM – 3 PM
Dryades YMCA (2220 Oretha Castle Haley Blvd.)

This youth and family-centered event will feature:
✔️ 100 free backpacks (donated by Aetna Better Health)
✔️ Sexual health education sessions
✔️ Free HIV/STI testing
✔️ Food, music, school supplies, and more!

This is just the beginning! NOLA SHAAD Week 2025 will bring together powerful events across New Orleans to uplift, educate, and engage our community around sexual health and HIV awareness.

We’re still inviting community organizations, health providers, and service groups to host free informational tables or offer on-site services during the fair. If your organization is interested in vending, tabling, or partnering, please reach out!
