Beyond Stigma Workshop

CrescentCare, New Orleans, LA

jueves, diciembre 05

December 5, 2024  9AM-2PM

CrescentCare – 1631 Elysian Fields, New Orleans 70117

The Beyond Stigma Workshop focuses on addressing the critical issue of stigma associated with HIV, which remains a significant barrier to treatment and prevention. This workshop provides free cultural competency training for HIV healthcare professionals and community members, fostering a supportive environment for those affected by HIV.

Participants will receive educational materials, including the “Beyond Stigma” book, and certificates upon completion. This training is vital as HIV disproportionately affects Black women and MSM in New Orleans and surrounding parishes, highlighting the need for targeted interventions.
